What is Science? | Young Explorers | 8 – 19 Aug 2016

what is science

You’re never too young to get to know the Museum! During National Science Week, the South Australian Museum is inviting children to come and explore what science is and why it’s so important. Discover why we have museums and how museums choose what goes in the galleries!

The Young explorers program is designed especially for children aged 3 to 5, offering them an interactive experience inspired by the stories, objects and spaces of the South Australian Museum.

Experienced facilitators use play experiences to engage the senses, incorporating story, song, movement, rhyme, observation, exploration, communication and tactile sensations in each session.

Young explorers sessions run Monday – Friday for two weeks of every month. Sessions are at 10:15am and 11:15am.

Bookings for Young Explorers Sessions

Sessions are free and run for 30 minutes and are strictly limited to 12 children.

Book a place for your child now. There is no need to reserve a spot for parents.

If you are unable to attend please cancel your booking so they can secure a place for others.
