It’s back! The Adelaide Central Market will host Seafood + Sounds during a two-day celebration of South Australian seafood and music.
For two days, the Adelaide Central Market will come alive with South Australia’s freshest seafood alongside a live soundtrack of jazz, funk, acoustic acts and DJs.
Expect freshly shucked oysters and Moët, the return of Sprout’s legendary Chilli Crab Shack, exclusive seafood specials from Market traders and live cooking demonstrations from your favourite local chefs. The kids haven’t been forgotten either, with a free under-the-sea art workshop and face painting.
Highlights include:
- Mouthwatering street eats and seafood specials from Market traders
- A lively program of live music to create a festive atmosphere
- Engaging cooking demonstrations showcasing the versatility of South Australian seafood
- A pop-up oyster bar serving fresh and delicious oysters
- The return of the crowd-favourite Chilli Crab Shack

What is now an icon of Seafood + Sounds, the ever popular and two-day only Chilli Crab Shack will return. Customers can enjoy mouth-watering Asian-style chilli crab using local Market produce and fresh SA blue swimmer crabs, made by the team at Sprout. Armed with an oversized crab bib, customers are encouraged to dig in and get messy, as they enjoy a local wine, live music and Market vibes.
