Murray Bridge NYE 2021 & Murray River Splash Festival 2022
Plans are underway once again for a family friendly New Year’s Eve event to kick start Jump into January festivities at Sturt Reserve in Murray Bridge.
New Year’s Eve Celebrations
The Murray Bridge New Year’s Eve event caters for a family audience to celebrate New Year’s Eve together. Starting at 5pm and finishing by 10pm, the night ends with the fireworks display launched from their iconic Bridge at 9:45pm.
The event also features a series of activities for children that includes giant hamster balls, games theatre, a rock climbing wall, nylon zoo, mini golf and roving entertainment. The stage will feature the best of local Murray Bridge musicians (acts announced closer to the date).
Because of COVID restrictions this event will be fenced and all attendees must use the QR code to sign in. A capacity of 4000 people has been requested from SA Health and once confirmed it will be first to arrive who will be admitted. If the venue reaches capacity you can still watch the fireworks which are scheduled for 9:45pm from many vantage points along the River Murray including the Wharf Area, the Southern end of Sturt Reserve, the entire eastern side of the riverbank or from Hume Reserve.
It is a condition of entry that you adhere to social distancing guidelines and observe directions given by volunteers and staff to keep yourself and other spectators safe. Do not attend the event if you have flu like symptoms, or are generally unwell.
