The Dutch Festival is back for 2016!
After the success of the 2015 festival, which saw more than 3,000 Aussies walk through the doors of the club on the day, The Dutch Club SA with the support of Multicultural SA has announced the now ANNUAL Dutch Festival to celebrate ‘Koningsdag’ (or King’s Day for the English speakers).
Koningsdag is a celebration of King Willem-Alexander’s birthday traditionally held on the 27th of April in the Netherlands. Along with the royal birthday this year also marks the 400th anniversary of the Dutch settlers arriving in 1616 in Shark Bay and is known as the Dirk Hartog Landing.
So throw on some orange, grab a kroket and a bottle of Heineken and spend a day with the Dutch community.
The festival will be packed full of entertainment, arts and crafts, traditional Dutch meals, Dutch street food, Dutch games, live music, kids entertainment, face painting, market stalls and a whole bunch more!
Oh, and don’t forget the Dutch beers and spirits!
Entry to this event is free.
