TIMELIGHT: Beyond Our Ticking World is an immersive, interactive exhibition that explores our relationship with time.

The award-winning studio behind EDEN, Berlin-based creative studio flora&faunavisions has teamed up with ILA Adelaide to present the world premiere of this Adelaide-exclusive event which blends art, technology, and storytelling in a bold, imaginative way, invites audiences of all ages to pause, play, and reimagine the meaning of time.

Coming to ILA in Adelaide, from 26 September to 26 October 2025.

What is TIMELIGHT?

TIMELIGHT is more than an exhibition, it’s a multi-sensory journey through light, sound, and interactive digital worlds. At the touch of your fingertips, glowing spheres, streaming light trails, and shifting landscapes come alive, transforming your perception of time itself.

Journey through three chapters exploring time as a universal force, a human-made structure, and a presence in nature. Step into a giant time-machine as the mechanical rhythms, pulsing lights and ticking gears of clocks create a vivid world within a playful, high-energy interactive game. As the journey comes to an end, your environment transforms over time and as trees grow, shadows shift and humanity ages.

Visitors can hear thought-provoking reflections on time from experts, children, and even monks. You’ll also be invited to share your own definition of time, contributing to a growing collective artwork that reveals how different people perceive it.

Perfect for families, friends, and curious minds, TIMELIGHT transforms the abstract concept of time into something you can feel, explore, and enjoy together.

Tickets: Adult: $30 | Child (5+): $25 | Child (2–4): $10 | Child (0–2): Free (must pre-book) | Family Pass (2 Adults + 2 Children OR 1 Adult + 3 Children): $100

Relaxed sessions are available for visitors who prefer a quieter experience, with reduced capacity, lowered sound levels, and re-entry permitted:
