What better way to shake out the excesses of Christmas Day – fresh sea air – exercise and a great chance to win random draw prizes.
This race from Glenelg Jetty to Brighton Jetty and back is organised by the Doug Smart for the South Australian Masters Athletics in conjunction with the Bay Sports Festival at Glenelg Foreshore, and will be held on Saturday 26 December 2015.
If there is a high tide it may be necessary to run along The Esplanade for part of the way.
For family fun, this year children under 15 yr can enter either a 1km Junior Dash and a 0.5km Kids Scamper, both run out-and-back along the beach. Children under 10 yr must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Enter on the day by the times shown:
8.4km 2 Jetties Fun Run (must be over 12 yr); $15 (Walkers by 8.50am, Runners by 9.10am.)
Children’s runs; $2 each or $5 for family.
Prizes awarded in the 2 Jetties Fun Run for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in Male & Female Runners and in Walkers categories (plus 1st place in all 10yr age group categories). Children will receive a certificate.
