Planetary Alignment in Adelaide 2023

On 28 March 2023, there will be a 5-planet alignment viewable from Australia.

Make the most of the opportunity to see 5 of the planets align. Soon after sunset on Tuesday 28 March 2023, view Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Uranus and Mars align in the night sky. It is not very common to see more than 3 planets align at once so this is a great event for stargazers and space enthusiasts.

It is recommended that you use binoculars to be able to see all 5 planets. While Venus, Mars and Jupiter can usually be spotted with the naked eye, Uranus and Mercury will be hard to see without binoculars or a telescope.

Jupiter and Mercury will be closer to the horizon, while higher up in the sky will be Venus, Uranus and Mars near the Moon, forming what looks like a relatively straight line to the human eye.
