Walk A Mile In My Boots | Hutt St Centre Adelaide | 9 Aug 2019

Walk a Mile in My Boots for the Hutt St Centre

Go together with friends, families, and colleagues to walk a mile in the boots of a person facing homelessness in South Australia by walking one mile on a cold, winter’s morning.

Hutt St Centre’s Walk a Mile in My Boots event provides South Australians the opportunity to step out and show their support for people experiencing homelessness.

Register and join them on Friday 9 August 2019, 7am for 7.30 start, during National Homelessness Week to show that homelessness is an important issue to you, and that no person should feel like they are walking alone.

By walking one mile to understand what it’s like to wake up on a chilly winter’s morning and look for something to eat, a hot drink, and a friendly face, you are showing people experiencing homelessness you care; and that they are not alone.

Go The Extra Mile

By Going the Extra Mile and fundraising in the lead up to the event, you will have a direct impact on people experiencing homelessness.

Your support will ensure Hutt St Centre continues to provide a warm and welcoming space to access essential services including meals, showers and lockers as well as connecting people to professional services such as an RDNS nurse, eye clinic, podiatry and mental health assistance where people can begin their journey out of homelessness.

Event Time:

7am for 7.30am Start  |  Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi, Wakefield Road
8am Finish  |  South Park Lands / Wita Wirra Park, Hutt Road

The walk is followed by a BBQ breakfast.

This event is held bright and early at 7:00 am for a 7:30 am start, and will only take 1 hour of your time, allowing you to go to work or school afterwards.
