Walk for Prems is a fun, family-friendly day filled with activities, entertainment, connection and community spirit, all in support of families with premature and sick babies.
Every year in Australia, over 48,000 babies are born premature or sick. The toll this takes on families is enormous, and that’s why Life’s Little Treasures Foundation exists. Since 2005, they’ve been walking alongside families, providing vital information, emotional support and community connection through one of life’s most challenging journeys.
Walk for Prems is their biggest fundraiser of the year. It is a chance to get together to honour the strength, hope and resilience of premature and sick babies and their families, all while raising vital funds for the programs that support them.
As they celebrate their 20th anniversary, they invite you to be part of this very special year. Grab your walking shoes, rally your family, friends and colleagues, and join in for a day full of fun, connection and purpose. Together, every dollar raised helps ensure no family faces this journey alone.
Children’s activities:
- Farmer Darcy’s Animal Farm
- Mad Hatterz face painting
- Bring Me Magic Magic Show
- Family games, activities, food and drinks
In Australia each year, 1 in 7 newborn babies require life-saving care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or Special Care Nursery. For two decades, Life’s Little Treasures Foundation (LLTF) has been there to support families with a prem or sick baby every step of the way.
Walk Registration: Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for children, with all funds raised going towards supporting families
Enjoy a 4km walk with kids’ activities and entertainment included. Plus, get a race bib, medal, info pack and automatic entry into the door prize competition.
This year, participants can also register for The Mighty Trek Challenge and walk additional distances from 7.30am – 1pm.
