Wear Orange Wednesday | Say Thanks to SES Volunteers | 20 May 2026
WOW Day – Wear Orange Wednesday – is a national day of recognition to say ‘thank you’ to all SES volunteers across Australia.
This year, WOW Day will be celebrated on Wednesday 20 May 2026 (part of National Volunteer Week 18–24 May 2026). WOW Day celebrations will be held across Australia and all workplaces and organisations are encouraged to host their own WOW Day morning tea or event and wear orange clothing.
What to do on WOW Day
- Wear something orange in colour
- Take a photo of yourself and your colleagues wearing orange and post it to social media using the hashtag #ThankYouSES
- Host a WOW Day morning tea
- Put up a WOW Day poster
- Bake something orange
- Light up your home or workplace in orange lights
- Say thank you to a SES volunteer
