Adelaide Zoo will celebrate all things friendship with the Westpac Animal Play Day on Saturday 30 July 2016.
In line with the UN International Day of Friendship, they will host special friendship keeper talks, a guide to some of the cutest, strangest and oldest animal friendships in the zoo, and fun children’s craft in the contact barn.
Celebrate the friendships of the Keepers and their animal friends:
• 10:30am Keeper Matt with Talara and Chiquita the Brazilian Tapirs.
• 11:00am Keeper Lucy with Fu Ni the Giant Panda.
• 11:45am Keeper Matt with Ady the Australian Sea Lion.
• 1:15pm Keeper Chad with Manu the Blue and Gold Macaw.
• 1:30pm Keeper Mandy and Akbar the Malayan Sun Bear.
• 1:30pm Keeper Mary with Brutus and Suzie the Nile Hippos.
• 2:30pm Keeper Jodie with Kluet and Karta the Sumatran Orangutans.
Children can also enjoy FREE craft from 11am until 1pm.
FREE admission for members, standard admission tickets apply for non-members and can be purchased online.

On Sunday 31 July | Soulful Sounds at Adelaide Zoo | Thom Lion
A carefully curated line up of Adelaide songwriters will share the spotlight with our much-loved animals for a series of matinee afternoon performances at Adelaide Zoo. If you love music, join us for a roaring good time as part of the Umbrella Winter City Sounds.
The music is FREE, however standard admission fees apply to enter the Zoo. This is a completely FREE event for Zoos SA members.
