Alpine Road Reserve Playground | Seacombe Heights

Alpine Road Reserve Playground Review

The Alpine Road Reserve was upgraded in 2020 and features exciting and innovative equipment, including a flying fox, swing, timber platform with slide, asphalt scooter and a bike pump track.

One of the main attractions at this playground is Marionโ€™s first Ninja Warrior course which features a series of challenges for children over six years old.

The course includes:

  • Vine Run (scramble along the rope vine without letting their feet touch the โ€˜lavaโ€™ below)
  • Cliff Hanger (shuffle along bars without touching the ground)
  • Scale a 3-metre climbing wall
  • Monkey Bars
  • Jump between giant steppers
  • Pommel Walk (test balance by stepping on discs suspended from a rope)

Additional amenities include a picnic shelter, paths to improve access, drinking fountain.

A miniature fairy village has been carved into logs and there are 24 new trees and about 1200 new plants.

Sports lovers will enjoy the new 3 on 3 basketball and netball court and junior footy goals.

The reserve also has a handball court and an asphalt scooter and bike pump track.

Kids who love to climb will enjoy testing their strength on the climbing wall and swinging along the monkey bars.
