Women on the Run Fundraising Event 2024 – Zahra Foundation.
Join the Zahra Foundation at Women on the Run in Grange on Sunday 17 March 2024 and make a difference for women’s lives.
This 4km fundraising walk, run, or stroll from Grange Jetty to Henley Jetty (and back) is a chance for the community to come together in the name of supporting women and non-binary people who have experienced domestic or family violence.
By joining Women on the Run you’re helping the Zahra Foundation to provide assistance to women and non-binary people through the process of recovery and along the journey to financial independence.
The day is also a chance to celebrate the life and legacy of Zahra Abrahimzadeh, their namesake, who’s life was taken by her estranged husband at the Adelaide Convention Centre in March 2010.
If you can’t participate on the day, please consider purchasing a virtual walk ticket in support of the event.
Details:
The event will commence at the Grange Jetty Reserve (opposite the Grange Hotel) with registrations from 8am and a 9am race start. The walk/run is 4km long and will be from the Grange Jetty to Henley Beach Jetty and return.
Participation costs:
- Adult (15+ years+) $35
- Child (under 15 years) free
- Virtual Stroller Ticket* ($20 donation)
- Virtual Walker Ticket* ($50 donation)
- Virtual Jogger Ticket* ($75 donation)
- Virtual Runner Ticket* ($100 donation)
*Virtual tickets are for those that can’t participate on the day but want to support this fundraising event.
Food & Drink:
There will be coffee available thanks to PKF Adelaide & Cirelli Coffee Roastery & Cafe and a BBQ thanks to Henley Square Foodland, Riviera Bakery and Solar Eggs.
