No Strings’ Movie Night Fundraiser at the Regal Theatre in Kensington Park
No Strings is hosting a movie fundraiser event, showing the documentary “Chef Antonio’s Recipes for Revolution”.
This documentary follows Antonio de Benedetto an Italian chef on a quest to change the world with food. His apprentices are aspiring chefs with Down syndrome who travel from across Italy to train and work in hospitality and take their place at the table of life and find their pathway to freedom and independence.
No Strings is a professional theatre company working with disabled artists for more than 28 years. In that time, No Strings has presented many award-winning shows that have toured both nationally and internationally to great acclaim. No Strings artists have been deeply impacted by the global pandemic, with many services curtailed or cancelled.
However, in early 2020 the organisation oversaw a quiet revolution, pivoting from face-to-face to online creative workshops, and reaching out to partner with international artists. No Strings holds space for disabled artists to raise their voice and to realise their professional aspirations in the Arts.
