Soak House Adelaide – Adelaide’s First Bathhouse – Student School Holiday Offer
Soak House Adelaide is a bathhouse located in Richmond. Their 4 main amenities are two heated mineral pools, a sauna, a spa, and a cold plunge tub. All of the amenities are all-gendered, communal, and shared between all guests. They are a mandatory bathers-on space as well.
Soak House is Adelaide’s first communal bathhouse, so they understand this concept is new to many people. The information below gives you an example of how you can use the bathhouse and what benefits each activity offers.
ONSEN POOLS
At Soak House Adelaide they hold 2 traditional, Japanese onsens that are enriched with magnesium and minerals to benefit your health and wellbeing. Recommended time is 30-45 minutes.
Magnesium Onsens are known for:
- reducing stress
- regulating circulation and heart rhythms
- relieving muscle tensions and tightness
- boosting skin and hair health.
ICE BATH
Plunge in the ice bath if you dare! The health benefits of an ice bath are AMAZING for your mental and physical wellbeing. Recommended time is 2-3 minutes (or more if you’re up for the challenge!)
Just spending 2 minutes in an ice bath can:
- reduce inflammation and swelling
- regulate and slow down blood pressure
- release stress hormones and cortisol
- slow increase of dopamine for up to 3 hours after a plunge
SAUNA
And lastly, finishing your session with a sauna will help your body to:
- Detox
- Increase metabolism
- Increase blood circulation
- Improved sleep, skin health and stress management
- Recommended time is 10-15 minutes
SCHOOL HOLIDAY OFFER
Over two weekends (12-14 July and 19-21 July), Soak House Adelaide are opening their doors to students aged 13-17 years old to attend with an adult.
Students are invited to enjoy a 45 or 90 minute soak session (must be accompanied by an adult at all times) to relax in their space, at a discount of $5 off each student. Bookings can be made via phone at 0400 831 598.
