Cirque Alice is on the way!
After sell-out seasons in Brisbane and Singapore, the spectacular new production from the creators of The Illusionists will arrive in Adelaide this summer.
Play & Go enjoyed a sneak peek at a preview held at Down The Rabbit Hole Wines in McLaren Vale this week.
The location could not have been more fitting as the production brings Lewis Carroll’s timeless tale, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, to life through an unforgettable blend of circus, theatre, cabaret and storytelling.

The show stars Layla Schillert, who reached the top 50 on Australian Idol in 2023. The Newcastle-based singer is set to shine in this two-hour theatrical adventure. At the preview, her rendition of Ave Maria sent tingles down the spine.
Audiences can also expect mesmerising aerialists and acrobats, mind-bending contortionists, exquisite puppetry, and guest musical and comedic artists. We even got a glimpse of one particularly bendy performer — the Queen of Hearts — who shot an arrow using her feet!

When the show arrives at Her Majesty’s Theatre, it will feature unique cabaret-style on-stage seating that places the audience at the heart of the performance, complemented by awe-inspiring set design.
It will also be accompanied by a specially curated soundtrack featuring remixes of classical favourites.
Strap in for this strictly limited season — it’s set to be a truly magical way to begin the new year!
