School Holidays at Adelaide Botanic Garden
Adelaide Botanic Garden’s stacked school holiday program is back, with holiday activities suitable for 5-12 year olds kicking off on Tuesday 18 April!
Activities have been designed to promote fun, hands-on learning about plants, people and the environment. There are two FREE activities on offer for families – both of which teach important lessons about Indigenous culture and the environment.
Making Fire, Making Glue
Learn how Aboriginal people make fire using just what is around them in the Australian bush. Make your own glue from plants! Meet on the Schomburgk Pavilion unless it’s raining, in which case it will be held in the Lecture Theatre of the Goodman Building. No bookings required. This is a Free 1 hour event.
Dreaming Story Telling
Listen to Aboriginal Dreaming stories and understand what they can teach us about life. Learn how to identify tracks and traces in the environment. Meet at the Lecture Theatre, Goodman Building. No bookings required. This is a free 1 hour event.
