Wisteria Arbours | Adelaide Botanic Garden

A visit to the Adelaide Botanic Garden during Spring will reward you with beautiful floral displays, such as the magnificent Wisteria Arbours.
The Adelaide Botanic Garden is a delightful place to visit at any time of year, with lawn areas for the kids to run around, birdlife around the lake to enjoy and accessible pram friendly paths throughout. Spring is particularly special with colourful new blooms enjoying the warmer weather and it’s the ideal time to witness blossom on the trees. Wisteria is known for its breathtaking spring blooms in shades of purple so this is the ideal time to see them at their most spectacular.

You will find the two wisteria arbours running along either side of the Mediterranean Garden. They feature three different cultivars in mauve and white and bloom from around mid-September to mid-October. A stunning backdrop for photos, kids will love walking under the fragrant canopy of beautiful flowers. You will find park benches placed under the arbours too, so you can sit and relax while you’re there.

Check the Adelaide Botanic Garden’s website or their social media pages for the most current blooming status and for any upcoming events, such as pruning demonstrations.
The Adelaide Botanic Garden is free to enter and is open daily. Plan your visit here.
