The Australian Diamonds will travel to Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide and Sydney as part of their International Test Series calendar for 2017 with Adelaide and Sydney to showcase the Constellation Cup.
The Constellation Cup tour will begin in Auckland, then move to Christchurch before coming to Adelaide’s Titanium Security Arena on October 11.
“Australia v New Zealand is one of the world’s great sporting rivalries and we are all looking forward to the clash in Adelaide ahead of next year’s Commonwealth Games,” South Australian Tourism and Sports Minister Leon Bignell said.
The Diamonds’ last international Test for 2017 and Constellation Cup decider will then be played at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on October 14.
Coach Lisa Alexander is excited to get the series’ underway, as preparations intensify for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
“With just three international tours between now and the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, every quarter played of every game will play its part in our preparations,” Alexander said.
