Adelaide Aquatic Centre COVID-19 Restriction Roadmap
The City of Adelaide has released a roadmap for the steps ahead for the Adelaide Aquatic Centre.
They are eagerly waiting to reopen so they can be there for the community’s health, fitness, and swimming journey. However, given the current restrictions, they are unfortunately not yet able to reopen.
SA State Government’s Easing Restrictions Roadmap:
On Monday 1 June 2020, South Australia moved onto Stage 2 of the Restriction Roadmap:
Stage 2 of the Roadmap gives a limit of 80 people across the whole facility, and a strict limit of 20 people per area. This has impacts across the board, not only for general swimming but also the fitness centre and swim school program.
The operational limitations, as well as the social distancing requirements, makes opening the Centre not viable.
The next steps for Adelaide Aquatic Centre:
The Centre is still waiting on clarity and advice for Stage 3, specifically in regards to social distancing and pool operations, which will hopefully enable them to reopen.
The situation with COVID-19 can change on a day to day basis and so the centre will continue to review the situation as things unfold, and communicate any changes to their opening status with the community.
