Explore waterfalls in Adelaide that take you to picturesque places just a stone’s throw from the city. 

Waterfalls are magical, especially after recent rainfall when they are at their most powerful. Watching the water continue to pour down a mountain of rock is mesmerising and kids of all ages will get a thrill from the experience.   During the cooler months in South Australia our local waterfalls are spectacular, so rug up and head out for a family walk or a gentle hike and explore one of our beautiful bushland areas.  You don’t have to venture too far with five impressive waterfall walks all within 30 minutes of the city.

  • Waterfall Gully – bottom of the Mount Lofty Summit trail in Cleland National Park | Waterfall Gully Road, Burnside

Waterfalls further away from Adelaide worth visiting include Deep Creek National Park, Ingalalla Falls and Hindmarsh Falls all on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
