Birdwood Farm Day 2019

Birdwood Primary School proudly presents the 45th annual Birdwood Farm Day

Go along for a day of country fun in the forest, and enjoy the best of what the local community has to offer. Enjoy the surroundings of Mount Crawford forest with crisp autumn air, the smell of wood smoke from campfires, freshly baked damper & billy tea, tractors & ponies carting happy kids around, the sound of a tug-o-war or sack race, gumboots & hot soup.

Activities will include:

  • sheep dog demonstrations
  • sheep shearing
  • tractor rides
  • log chopping
  • native animals
  • spinners & weavers
  • animal nursery
  • facepainting
  • whip cracking
  • pony & camel rides
  • live music
  • games for the whole family
  • Bumbles the Clown stage show
  • restored machinery
  • Don’s demo dogs
  • vintage cars

You can also browse for some bargains at the Birdwood Primary School run stalls for something for the garden, creative crafts, gourmet goodies and sweet treats. There will be craft activities for the kids, old fashioned games for all the family, and a giant cash raffle drawn on the day.

If the weather turns out to be chilly there will be plenty of shelter available. You can also grab a cup of homemade soup or billy tea, settle down by a campfire, listen to some of the great entertainment line-up and take in the great atmosphere that Farm Day has to offer.

Lunch at Birdwood Farm Day:

If you’re staying for lunch, you can choose from a huge range of hot foods, pack a forest picnic or bring along the barbie and cook your own campfire lunch.

  • Adults $10
  • Children FREE
  • max. $20 per car
