Borealis Light Show | Gluttony | Adelaide Fringe 2022

Borealis light show Adelaide Fringe

Borealis Light show returns to Adelaide Fringe in 2022

Returning by popular demand, Borealis is a captivating light installation set over Rymill Park Lake that allows you to experience the wonder of the Northern Lights right here in Adelaide.

Art meets technology in this magical installation that has travelled the world, allowing you to Switzerland-based artivist Dan Acher’s BOREALIS had its Southern Hemisphere premiere on North Terrace at Adelaide Fringe 2018, and in 2021 it became an open-air delight for all ages at Gluttony. Over Rymill Park Lake, to an atmospheric soundtrack, high-powered laser beams travel through particle clouds to create the illusion of Aurora Borealis. Variations in weather conditions, movement, colour, and density mean the effect is different each visit. Marvel at BOREALIS every night Gluttony is open.
