George Bolton Swimming Centre (Burnside Pool) extended winter opening hours.

The George Bolton Swimming Centre in Hazelwood Park will remain open throughout all of winter this year. This is to help meet the increased demand for aquatic facilities in the metropolitan area while the Adelaide Aquatic Centre remains closed for redevelopment.   The official summer season concludes on Sunday 27 April 2025. From Monday 28 April to Friday 26 September 2025 there will be some changes to the centre’s opening hours. 

• Monday to Friday: 6am – 9.30am | 4pm – 7.30pm
• Saturday: 7am – 10.30am
• Sunday and Public Holidays: Closed

The following changes from their regular summer operations will also be in place from Monday 28 April 2025:

• Only the 50-metre pool will be open – the learner pool, toddler pool and play space will be closed
• Hazel’s Café will not be operating throughout winter
• No swim programs will be in operation
• There will be no heating in the change rooms, however hot water showers will remain available.

The operational costs of the extended winter season will be funded by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing.
