Burton Community Hub Grand Opening
Go along for the grand opening of the brand new Burton Community Hub for a FREE event for all ages.
The new Burton Community Hub is a vibrant and exciting facility for the whole community to enjoy. The new Hub will be a welcoming place that creates economic, cultural, learning, and recreational opportunities for the whole community. It will also feature an outdoor mural by Aboriginal artist Elizabeth Close as part of the βA Welcoming Placeβ Project, a collaboration between Wellbeing SA, Burton Primary School, local Senior Elder Frank Wanganeen and the City of Salisbury.
Enjoy FREE activities and entertainment for the grand opening including:
- Amusement rides
- Pinata crafts
- Face painting
- Mug decorating and rock painting
- Animation and augmented reality activities
- Programs and activities for all ages
- Walk the butterfly and insect trail
- Planting demonstration, help plant a pea, and learn about upcycling in the garden
- Childrenβs craft including origami
- Childrenβs butterfly colouring in and origami
- Planting demonstrations
- Burton Primary School Art Exhibition
- Launch of ‘A Welcoming Place’ mural by Elizabeth Close
- Adelaide United Payer special appearance and signings
PLUS check out the Yellow Brick Road Activity Trail!
Enjoy activities and taster sessions, and collect freebies and wonderful creations to take home! Visit the Info stall on the day to collect your items to begin.
Along the way you can collect:
- A kids canvas tote bag to fill with goodies
- Plant a βpeaβ to take home
- A bee hotel (limited stocks)
- Make your very own pinata
- And much more!
Food and drinks will be available for purchase on the day.
