Café Fellini – North Adelaide
Cafe Fellini at O’Connell Street in North Adelaide has been around for years, but sometimes gets forgotten about. It’s one of those family Italian restaurants with a huge menu so there’s something to please everyone, including wood oven pizzas, pastas, mains, coffee and cake. It’s open all day so does breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, or dinner. When they say family, they really do look out for children, with a large kids’ menu for only $5 per meal. That’s right, each of the kids’ dishes are only $5!
Kids can select from: mini burger, fish, pizzas, pastas, nuggets (including veggie nuggets), schnitzels, focaccia, meat & veggies, chicken salad, Caesar salad. It’s the cheapest kid’s meal we’ve seen around. The servings are just the right size for younger kids – it filled up our kids up to 12 years old. The menu offers a pretty good variety of dishes to choose from, and meals generally come with chips, salad or veggies.
If you go during the day you’ll find the Helicopter Park (Glover Playground North Adelaide) is walking distance from here, along Lefevre Terrace, or a short drive away is the Bush Magic Playground, next to the Aquatic Centre. Both playgrounds are old favourites, fully fenced, have toilets, and particularly great for little ones.

See below for some of the other meals we had, including crab spaghetti, pasta, pizza and Surf and Turf dish. They have gluten free pasta and gluten free pizza available too. We would recommend booking on the weekends, especially for larger groups.
For dessert, Cafe Fellini have gelato and cake, plus dessert pizza, but there’s also Bakery O’Connell just up the road where you could stop after for a little donut, cronut, or cake.
