🩵 MINI REVIEW | PLAY SCHOOL LIVE IN CONCERT ❤️

If you grew up with the iconic TV show Play School and now have a little one yourself, these concerts are pure childhood magic for young and older audiences alike. 💛

Today we saw beloved presenters Tao and Kaeng, along with everyone’s favourite toys – Big Ted, Little Ted, Jemima, Kiya and Fergus – at their new @adelaidefescent home. Did you know that Tao has been doing these concerts for 23 years?!

The Dunstan Playhouse proved to be the perfect venue, with lunch overlooking the River Torrens beforehand making the outing feel extra special, while still capturing the warm, welcoming atmosphere that Play School is so well known for.

These 40-minute concerts are favourites for a reason. Tao and Kaeng had the audience singing, dancing, and laughing from start to finish, even turning a small prop mishap into a funny moment that had everyone giggling. 😆

Backed by Bill on piano, the presenters’ warmth, humour and down-to-earth energy made it easy to see why Play School has been delighting generations of Australian families for 60 years. 🥰

Parent tip: The theatre seats flip up to create space for dancing, but an aisle seat is a great choice if your little one likes a bit more room to move. 💃🕺
Also tickets are general admission so go early to pick your seats.

In a world of screens and stimulation, there’s something special about Play School. It’s gentle, engaging and timeless - and seeing it come to life on stage is every bit as wonderful as you’d hope. ✨

Our 4-year-old reviewer was entertained the whole way through, danced in the aisle, and was ecstatic to see “the real Tao”. Mum was pretty happy too! 🥰

Tomorrow morning’s performance is sold out, but balcony tickets are still available for the 12pm and 2pm shows, presented by @cdptheatreproducers and @abckids.
