Centennial Park Cemetery Christmas Tribute for S.A. families | 16 Dec 2015

CENTENNIAL PARK - JUBILEE COMPLEX 2 (A5)

South Australian families, friends and children can come together and commemorate the lives of loved ones lost at Centennial Park’s Christmas Tribute in December.

The free Tribute event – Carols in the Park – will be held at the State’s largest cemetery in Pasadena on Wednesday 16 December from 6.30pm until 7.30pm.

Members of the public will be able to listen to and enjoy a series of carols performed by renowned acapella choir In Unitate, as part of Centennial Park’s Christmas Tribute.

The opportunity to place a personal tribute on a 15-foot high Christmas tree, located on the cemetery’s Mawson Lawns near the Jubilee Complex, will be available.

Visitors can also honour and reflect on the life of family and friends who are now at rest by lighting a candle of remembrance within Centennial Park’s Mawson Chapel.

Light refreshments will be provided at an outdoor alfresco area with tables and chairs near the Jubilee Complex. Families are also welcome to bring along their own picnic hampers. Centennial Park Acting Chief Executive Officer Mr Matthew Morgan said Centennial Park welcomed all South Australian families to attend the upcoming Christmas Tribute.

“Christmas is an occasion for families and friends to come together. For many, it’s also a time to pay tribute to loved ones passed,” he said.

“Our upcoming Christmas Tribute will be a poignant and meaningful way for people to remember and reflect on the life of a family member.”

“At Centennial Park, we pride ourselves on creating a peaceful and tranquil place for South Australians to celebrate their loved ones.”
