The Adelaide Zoo is excited to be partnering with Variety SA to create a new precinct perfect for young ones at Adelaide Zoo.
The new Variety Children’s Zoo is set to be an amazing play space for kids filled with interactive areas that allow them to get closer than ever to some of the zoo’s most popular residents.
Complete with areas for children of all abilities to play and explore, the new Variety Children’s Zoo will potentially feature things like balance beams and ladders for the charismatic goats, climbing branches for the friendly quokkas and a dedicated presentation area for keepers to share stories about their animal friends.
Is there a child in your life who loves animals?
For a limited time your child can become a Variety Children’s Zoo founding member and receive five years’ worth of membership for the price of three. Or, have your child’s face included in an art installation at Adelaide Zoo with their Be The Face campaign!

Adelaide Zoo will be creating a larger-than-life art installation made up of the many amazing faces of their zoo community, and you can be a part of it. Imagine your child, grandchild or loved one walking into the incredible new Variety Children’s Zoo and saying ‘I supported this and my picture is here to prove it!”.
Your images will be combined into a breathtaking representation of their most iconic animals, which will take centre stage in the new children’s zoo development. For just $50, your child, grandchild, loved one or pet can be the face of Adelaide Zoo’s new immersive children’s precinct. Yes, you heard correctly. Your fur family qualifies to have their face as part of the art installation!
