Discover, Play, Pathway! FREE family fun on the Amy Gillett Bikeway.
Ride or walk the Amy Gillett Bikeway and discover an array of music, art, food and family entertainment all set against the backdrop of the spectacular rolling Adelaide Hills. The 15-kilometre trail winds through picturesque towns, past iconic hills businesses and thriving wineries, encompassing Oakbank, Woodside, Charleston and Mount Torrens.
Touch a Truck
Touch a Truck is coming to Discover Play Pathway on Sunday 2 March from 9am – 3pm. Take the kids to the Mount Torrens Oval for an exciting hands-on experience with front-end loaders, excavators, rubbish trucks, and more! Let them get up close to these big machines and explore how they work.
Activities along the route at different hubs include:
- FREE Face painting
- Roving Entertainer: Stilt Walker and Juggler
- Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony
- Amy Gillett’s Parents talk road and cycling safety
- Kids Cultural Workshop: Native Birds
- The Atlantic Street Band
- Roving Entertainer: Malachi Frost
- Story Time
- Mount Torrens Market
- Bubble show
- Roving Entertainer: Stilt Walker and Unicyclist
- Chalk artist – will be creating live from 11:00am on the Amy Gillett Bikeway Mt Torrens with buckets of chalk available for the kids to get involved!

SHARE THE BIKEWAY
Whether on wheels or on foot, don’t forget to keep left when travelling along the Bikeway. If you hear a bell, someone is trying to pass you, so move to the left and keep children and dogs close by.
ACCESSIBILITY
This is a fully accessible event. Accessible toilets are available at Gillman Reserve in Oakbank and Woodside.
REHYDRATING
Remember to regularly rehydrate as you travel along the Bikeway. They have dedicated water stations in Woodside and Charleston.
KEEP IT CLEAN
Please take any rubbish with you or use the bins provided.

Note, in the event of a declared Extreme or Catastrophic Fire Danger Day, Discover, Play, Pathway! will be cancelled.
