National Railway Museum – Annual Family Fun Fair July 2025.
The National Railway Museum’s annual Family Fun Fair is back during the July school holidays from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 July with plenty of entertainment and train rides – all included with the admission!
Take a ride on a miniature train, explore the museum and enjoy free entertainment including Cool for Kids, Dig A Dino, Fritz Sandwich Clown all collectively creating heaps of music, singing, magic and interactive games!
While you’re visiting, you can discover the museum’s attractions including the huge model train layout, theatrette, train cabin simulator and there are heaps of engines and carriages to explore!
Train Rides
The small steam train rides with Bub, and big Redhen trains will run every day…..no extra charge!
Food & Drink
Onsite catering will be available, with the Prospect Scouts hosting a barbecue on Saturday and Sunday while the Rotary Café Car will be operating daily.
Getting there
The National Railway Museum is easily accessible by public transport. For timetables, refer to the Adelaide Metro website.
For train travellers, the new Port Dock train service is the most convenient, which drops you right next door to the Museum!

Admission (including all entertainment and unlimited train rides):
- Family (2 adults and up to 3 children) $46
- Adult $20
- Concession $15
- Child (5–15yrs) $10
- Children under 5 free
Pre-booked tickets available, but EFTPOS/cash is acceptable at the entry on each day.
