Nature Play SA’s Park of the Month for June is Flinders Ranges National Park, about 5 hours drive north of Adelaide.
Each month, Nature Play SA in partnership with the Department of Environment, Water & Natural Resources showcases one of SA’s beautiful National Parks.
This is definitely not a day visit, so plan ahead, stay for a few days and you will be rewarded with a unique opportunity to experience rugged mountains, peaceful gorges and a huge array of wildlife and flora. There is so much to see here and explore from the unique scenery, sites of ancient Aboriginal art, historic pastoral settlements, the giant creek beds that shelter Yellow-Footed Rock Wallabies, or the natural amphitheatre of Wilpena Pound.
You can bush camp in the Park or choose to stay in nearby accommodation, but whatever you do, find an opportunity to visit.
The Flinders Ranges National Park is visited by people from all over the world and we have it in our backyards!
