Foals: a photographic exhibition by kids around the world

Presented by Sofie Kim, Foals is a photo exhibition by kids from around the world. See the similarities and enjoy the differences in a day of a life from Denmark to Korea, Nepal to Canada, Japan to Scotland and more.

This exhibition puts children behind the lens of the camera instead of being in front of it for a change, to showcase what children see – which is often very different to what adults see. The world often looks very different down at their level.

Exhibition organiser Sofie Kim said kids are often photographed but are rarely the photographer, and this exhibition turns that on its head.

“The exhibition shows children’s points of view, which can help adults reconnect with the detail missed in busy everyday lives,” Sofie said. “While we may be looking at the beautiful flowers in the garden, kids may be looking at the interesting stem or roots, at their eye level. We often miss the little things, and it can take a little one to show us that.”

The exhibition will run from 1-11 March 2019 in the Garden of Unearthly Delights and is FREE. You can find the exhibit in a gazebo near the market stalls area of the Garden.
