Felixstow Reserve Official Opening

Be amongst the first to experience the City of Norwood, Payneham & St Peter’s newest park.  Gather your family and friends, and join the fun at Felixstow Reserve for the Official Opening.

From 10am until 2pm they will have a free BBQ, kids entertainment, live music, and more.  The new park has been redeveloped to include major cultural, ecological, and community-focussed features, including:

Kaurna Interpretive Trail

The trail provides insight into the Kaurna beliefs, traditions, culture and connection to the land through a series of art markers, each created by Paul Herzich, a Kaurna/Ngarrindjeri artist and designer.

New Wetlands System

The Reserve features a newly constructed wetlands system which creates new habitats for birds and animals while capturing, treating and storing storm water through an Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) scheme. The recycled storm water will be used for irrigation purposes across the eastern region of Adelaide.

Other features include:

  • Open grass areas
  • Nature play spaces
  • Free public fitness stations
  • Walking trails and a shared path
  • Barbecue amenities
  • Sporting facilities, including basketball, netball and bocce
