Rundle Mall 12 Days of Christmas Windows | Showcasing SA | 10 Nov – 27 Dec 2018

12 Days of Christmas in Rundle Mall

A dozen window displays showcase stories from South Australia with creations from the state’s stars including Paolo Sebastian and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.

Rundle Mall is set to sparkle this Christmas with the installation of twelve individually crafted window displays evoking the magic, storytelling, generosity and excitement surrounding the enchanting ‘12 days of Christmas’ carol. Each window is inspired or created by a South Australian personality, brand or cause, designed to captivate the imagination and represent the true spirit of Christmas, as families come together to celebrate the special time of year. Artists, icons, food producers, fashion designers, local TV personalities, charities and community groups will be sharing a window into what inspires them at Christmas.

Local names including Paul Vasileff, founder of Australian fashion house, Paolo Sebastian and Jared Petrenko and Jess Dover of House Rules have curated displays, while one window represents the local farming community, and another exhibits original pieces from South Australian artists.

As families come together to celebrate over the festive season, food is always at the forefront of everyone’s minds. The ultimate South Australian feast window showcases the state’s diverse and talented producers and has been developed to encourage locals to Choose SA this year and fill their tables with SA Christmas fare.

The twelve installations will bring sparkle to delight all those shopping, socialising and sightseeing in the Mall until the New Year. Some of the dozen displays will have an interactive element, such as the opportunity to post Christmas wishes to the North Pole, enter a competition or the invitation to donate to local charity, Backpacks 4 SA Kids.

These enchanting windows will be positioned along the length of Rundle Mall until Thursday 27 December 2018.

Highlights for Kids:

Windows that kids might particularly enjoy are one where people can post their Christmas wishes off to Santa, one where they can admire Paolo Sebastian’s beautiful fairytale couture dresses and one which includes the best Christmas Day feast featuring South Australian produce.
