Winter Wonderland Ice Skating Returns to Glenelg

Brush off the winter blues, strap on your skates and enjoy beachside ice skating – and a special fireworks display – at Glenelg this July.

A Winter Wonderland will be set up in Moseley Square for the month of July, with daily, one-hour ice skating sessions kicking off on Friday 1 July under a marquee.

On weekdays, kids can take to the ice at 10am and take part in various ice games including limbo, basket shooting and mini ice hockey.

We recommend planning an all day trip with the kids to try ice skating followed by a hot coffee, brunch, lunch or dinner plus a spot of shopping and a must-do playground stop at both the Glenelg Foreshore Playspace and Wigley Reserve Playground. You can also read more about great coffee places and places to eat below.

Once the skating has wrapped up on Monday 25 July, the marquee will host a weekend of winter markets on 30-31 July, from 10am to 4pm. The market stalls will be curated by Gilles on the Ground with live entertainment and room to kick back and relax.
