International Mud Day | 29 June

International Mud Day is 29 June – It aims to connect children across the entire world through the earth, by playing in the mud.

It gives children and early childhood professionals all over the globe the opportunity to celebrate nature, outdoors and mess by getting really muddy – and kids love it!

Mud is also a natural part of childhood and is invaluable for children’s sensory development, provides a source of creativity and research suggests it’s beneficial to children’s overall wellbeing.

If you are looking to learn more about muddy play, Nature Play SA have put together an informative flyer all about the importance of mud, featuring 10 things to do with mud to get you outside and dirty plus you can also download their Magnificent Mud flyer.
