Legacy Remembrance Walk

Legacy Remembrance Walk

Walk to remember a loved one; father, mother, grandmother, grandfather, sister or brother or walk to show support for the families who lost their loved one during war or peace keeping whilst serving our country.

Legacy’s Remembrance Walk is a time to reflect, to learn and pay tribute to our Military troops and their families. Legacy’s Remembrance Walk will help the community understand what Legacy does, who Legacy helps, and to remember the sacrifices of our Australian Defence Force and their families.

On Friday 8 November 2019, take an hour from your morning to be a part of the unique Remembrance Walk. Starting at the Torrens Parade Ground, meet at 7:20am for a 7:30am start with a minute’s silence, then follow the Australian Light Horse Brigade mounted troops for a walk of 1.5kms up King William Street, around Government House, along North Terrace, turning at Kermode Street to walk along the ANZAC Centenary Memorial Walk path.

Finish back at the Parade Grounds with a light BBQ breakfast and an exhibition, “The next chapter with Legacy”, showcasing the journey of Legacy Families, young and old.
