Experience the enchanting blend of fire and ice this winter at MELTFest—an immersive one-day, free winter event set to light up Adelaide’s North-Western suburbs across two hot locations.
On Saturday 3 August 2024, this uniquely South Australian celebration, proudly presented by the City of Port Adelaide Enfield, will transform both Klemzig Oval and the streets of Port Adelaide into vibrant hubs of winter wonder.
Offering a perfect blend of cool experiences and warm community spirit, MELTFest invites even the most dedicated hibernators to venture out and revel in the magic of winter. Whether you’re drawn to daytime family activities or the allure of evening entertainment, this dual-location extravaganza guarantees a memorable winter experience that transcends the ordinary – from crackling open fires to sizzling local cuisine, from homegrown musical talent to unique art installations.
KLEMZIG OVAL
Saturday 3 August 2024 | 11am – 3pm
The one-day event kicks off with daytime family fun at Klemzig Oval and Gaza Club Rooms from 11am to 3pm. Visitors can look forward to a showcase of Adelaide’s finest food trucks serving up winter warmers, interactive art workshops led by prominent SA artists, pop-up exhibitions celebrating emerging local talent, and family-friendly performances by Adelaide’s top children’s entertainers.
PORT ADELAIDE
Saturday 3 August 2024 | 5am – 9pm
As the sun sets, the action heats up in Port Adelaide from 5pm to 9pm, offering a more sophisticated evening experience for all. The evening program will feature performances by established SA musicians and rising stars, adding a vibrant soundtrack to the winter night.
Port Adelaide’s streets will come alive with an alfresco dining experience on Commercial Rd and Iparrityi Laneway and a trail of innovative art exhibitions across 15+ brick-and-mortar venues, showcasing the area’s thriving creative and hospitality scene. Live performances by SA music icons including Max Savage, Siberian Tiger, Wake In Fright, and rising stars My Cherie, Ella Ion and Jamie Lena will keep the energy high, while enlightening talks by local artists offer insights into Port Adelaide’s evolving cultural landscape.
