What better way to celebrate New Year’s Eve than with family and friends on the foreshore at Glenelg. This annual festivity has become one of the most popular family friendly outdoor events on the State’s calendar. There is nothing better than watching the sun going down over the ocean as you say goodbye to the year. Get Your Glo On is the theme for 2013 so wear your fluorescent brights which will be lit up by UV lighting systems along the foreshore as part of the Glo Glenelg theme.
Stock up on glo sticks, wear fluro and even paint yourself glo and watch the bay come alive under special UV lighting!
Entertainment this year features a fantastic line-up of acts including Boomstars, Gemini Downs, the Voice star Caterina Torres, Acoustic Juice, Jaki J MC and roving performers. Fireworks synchronized to music will light up the sky at 9:30pm for the younger family members and again at midnight with all the fun starting at 6:30pm on the Glenelg foreshore.

Families can book a picnic hamper package to secure access to the reserved picnic area with a great view of the stage and dine under the stars. The picnic hamper package includes a take home stylish picnic basket with cutlery & crockery filled with drinks, antipasto/grazing selection, sushi, bread & dips, fruit with chocolate dipping sauce, ice pack, glo product and access to reserved area. Family hampers will also include mini pizzas & cupcakes. All you will need is your picnic rug! The cost is $85.00 per couple or $95.00 per family (catering for 4 persons). Getting There:
Avoid the crowds and park your car easily and securely at the RAA Park and Ride car park at Harbour Town. Catch the free shuttle buses which will be operating every 20 minutes from 5:00pm to 1:00am from Harbour Town to Wrigley Reserve Glenelg. Harbour Town is located at 727 Tapleys Hill Road, West Beach. You can also catch the tram from the city to Glenelg.
