Throughout the July school holidays, children and families will be able to attend the OPAL Festival and get involved in a range of free activities being held at food cooperatives, playgrounds, shopping centres and other locations in the City of Playford. Activities will include cooking, planting, visiting new playgrounds and a range of indoor and outdoor sessions. Some activities require bookings so check the festival calendar for details.
What is OPAL?
OPAL is a healthy lifestyle initiative that aims to improve the eating and activity patterns of children through working with families and the whole community. Each year OPAL has a new ‘theme’ with different messages that teach children, young people and families about how to eat well and be active.
