The Peace Project | Cove Civic Centre | August 2017

The paper cranes are piling up! Every Thursday at Cove Civic Centre you can help the City of Marion make origami cranes to be sent to Hiroshima in Japan to decorate The Children’s Peace Monument in readiness for World Peace Day.

This activity is running every Thursday between 10am & 4pm until 31st August 2017.  Multicultural Youth SA will teach participants how to make a beautiful paper origami crane, folded as a wish for peace. These cranes will be sent to Japan to help decorate The Children’s Peace Monument, also called the “Tower of a Thousand Cranes” in readiness for World Peace Day.

Why not get involved next time you are visiting Cove Civic Centre and make your paper crane contribution!

They have already folded 300 paper cranes and would like to have 1000 before the end of August!
