Pictures in the Park – Free Bowden Flicks
As the sun sets over beautiful Bowden, join in for a series of FREE balmy movie nights in the Bowden Park.
First up is The Sapphires (rated PG), a fantastic Australian musical comedy-drama film, based on the 2004 stage play of the same name and based on a true story. The Sapphires centres around four indigenous women played by Deborah Mailman, Jessica Mauboy, Shari Sebbens and Miranda Tapsell, who are discovered by a talent scout (Chris O’Dowd), and form a music group named The Sapphires, travelling to Vietnam in 1968 to sing for troops during the war.
There’ll also be the team from Slush Happy on board to bring you slushies, jam donuts and plenty of popcorn! But of course you can bring a picnic along too. Or you can grab your dinner and nibbles from the fabulous Plant 4 Bowden markets.
The showing will be on Friday 10 February 2017. The movie will begin as the sun goes down (around 8pm), but get in early to find your spot. Make sure you invite your friends too!
