Professor Flint’s Dinner with the Dinosaurs at Adelaide Botanic Garden
Enjoy a picnic and a delightful adventure into the past, on an afternoon of dino-tunes, fossils, giant dinosaurs, native Australian animals, & more with Professor Flint at Adelaide Botanic Garden.

On 29 August, as a grand finale to National Science Week, Professor Flint’s “Dinner with the Dinosaurs” takes you on an awesome prehistoric adventure on the Conifer Lawn at the Adelaide Botanic Garden.
In this family friendly event, world-renowned singing palaeontologist Professor Flint, will be joined on stage by Zoey Velianofski, Bridget Tran, Seb Cox, and Zahli Linke from the Australian Classical Youth Ballet and Adelaide Youth Theatre, for a free, family friendly performance that will see them explore prehistoric stories of dinosaurs, and what they had for dinner.
You can bring your own picnic hamper. Alternatively, individual picnic boxes can be ordered from the Adelaide Botanic Garden Kiosk up to two days before the event and collected on the day. Coffee, cold drinks, and other food options will also vbe available to order from the Kiosk on the day.
Schedule:
The performance of “Dinner with the Dinosaurs” commences at 3:30pm.
From 1:30pm, friends from Dig a Dino, Animals Anonymous, Flinders University Palaeo Society, and the University of Adelaide Palaeontologists will be on site with fossils, giant dinosaurs, and live animals.
Event Information:
This is a COVID Safe event so COVID check-ins on the day, are essential. All appropriate COVID distancing and safety measures will be adhered to.
This is an outdoor event. Any decision on cancellation in the event of wet weather will be made at least 24 hours beforehand. All ticket holders will be notified by email.
