Since 1995, City of Prospect has hosted free music concerts in February for the local community.
Each year the event grows in popularity and diversity, with activities for children and youth (such as a jumping castle and giant games) complementing the music focus of the event.
From 6:30pm to 9.30pm every Friday in February at the Memorial Gardens (off Menzies Crescent, next to Prospect Oval).
•5 February – Party in the Park with Gumbo Ya Ya
•12 February – Country in the Park with The Beggars/The Texettes
•19 February – Jazz in the Park with Souzi D Wilson & the Coolmints
•28 February – Latin Dance Party with Soul Macumbia
Make a night of it by bringing chairs or a blanket and a picnic, or bring some cash and enjoy the BBQ provided by the Prospect Blair Athol Lions Club.
For safety, Menzies Crescent will be closed to cars from Willcox Ave to Flora Terrace gates between 4:30pm and 9:30pm.
