RSPCA South Australia’s Urgent Adoption Plea
Now, more than ever, animals in South Australia need your help. The RSPCA currently have hundreds of animals in their care and due to the current unsettling and turbulent times, volunteer support has fallen along with the donations they desperately rely on to care for animals.
Animal adoptions are slowing. They are now taking proactive and urgent measures to get their animals into loving homes. If you are in a position to, they need your help now.
The RSPCA will be reducing adoption fees for dogs and cats at their Lonsdale shelter, RSPCA PetVille and participating Petbarns indefinitely. Adult cats (6 months and older) will have a reduced adoption fee of $29. Dogs and kittens will have a reduced adoption fee of $99.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, for first time in their history they need members of the public to go online to make an appointment for a potential adoption at their Lonsdale shelter and RSPCA PetVille. Bookings can be made HERE.
Please only visit their locations if you intend to adopt – they’re doing their best to keep everyone safe.
Location opening hours and addresses can be found HERE.
All currently available animals can be viewed online HERE.
You can find regularly updated information about what the outbreak means for pets, livestock and other animals HERE.
