Week 2
From Monday 14 to Friday 18 July, Rundle Mall will play host to a wide variety of FREE entertainment and arts, all presented in a space designed to beat the winter chill!
If you’re looking for FREE entertainment for the children there’s 84 FREE family friendly performances under the Little Palais; a self-contained 100 seat theatre design to showcase performances of circus, magic, cabaret, and comedy throughout the week!
No theatre experience is complete without a delicious snack, so there’s a range of food stalls surrounding the venue serving everything from toasted cheese sandwiches to piping hot coffee.
Rundle Mall has a place in the hearts and minds of every South Australian, but could you draw a picture of what it means to you? Five local artists (Donovan Christie, Jake ‘Two’ Bresanello, Matthew Stuckey, Harry Thring, Josh Searson) take on this challenge creating five individual pieces about what Rundle Mall means to them.
The winter weather can certainly turn people off from partaking in an after work drink, but what better way is there to warm up than with a mug of mulled wine? ‘Das Weinhaus’ will offer mulled wine and warm spiced cider from 5pm on Thursday and Friday evening. Sit by a heater, grab a mug of wine and a bite to eat from one of the surrounding stalls, and contemplate ‘What Rundle Mall Means…’ whilst you wait for the next FREE Little Palais performance.
Rundle Mall is proud to present ‘The Cube’; an Australian Dance Theatre production staged inside a portable Perspex performance space, designed to provide an unexpected experience of winter themed performance art.
