Symons & Symons Reserve in Glenside

A lovely little pocket of grass, picnic facilities and numerous sporting options for kids.

Tucked away on the corner of Conyngham Street and Cator Street in Glenside is Symons & Symons Reserve, a small space that fits in an impressive number of recreational facilities. Fully fenced with child lock gates, the reserve is bordered by trees and plants with a path through the centre.  The park does not have a playground, but caters for various sports and games.

At one end is a paved area with a number of play areas, including:

  • Basketball hoop (half court)
  • Netball ring
  • Rebound wall with cricket stumps and tennis net line marking
  • Hopscotch
  • Handball squares

There is also well maintained grass areas with room to kick a footy or soccer ball.

The reserve also features park benches, picnic table and shelter, BBQ and drinking fountain with bottle filler and dog water bowl.  As a small community reserve the park is intended to serve only local residents so there are no public toilets.

Corner of Conyngham Street and Cator Street, Glenside

There is an OTR on the corner of Greenhill Road and Conyngham Street and the closest shopping centre is Burnside Village.
