In case you weren’t aware, Insta have started rolling out a new AI feature. By default, the ‘Sharing and reuse’ control allows other people to use your public Instagram posts, reels and profile photo in Meta AI-generated creations if the setting is enabled. You need to manually turn this off if you don’t want this enabled.
***Please note this is only for public accounts so if you’re set to Private it won’t appear.

How to update this:

1/ From your Insta profile page click on the 3 lines in the top right corner to go to Settings and activity.

Monet to Matisse: Defying Tradition opens at @agsa.adelaide on 11 July exclusively to Adelaide. This is your chance to see some masterpieces from renowned artists - in real life, and up close - without travelling to the other side of the world.

This remarkable collection has come all the way from The Toledo Museum of Art in the USA, and it’s the first time these pieces have travelled together outside their home museum. It’s a rare opportunity that doesn’t come around often, and it includes pieces never seen in Australia before!

Along with the 57 pieces that are visiting, you will also see some outstanding artwork from the Art Gallery of SA’s own collection.

The showstopper is the huge 2 metre Water Lilies by Monet - being able to see this one right up close is pretty special. Loved this!

You’ll also see iconic works by other artists including Camille Pissarro, Paul Cézanne, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, James McNeill Whistler, Helen Frankenthaler, and more.

Whether you’re an art enthusiast or simply curious to see some of the world’s most celebrated paintings up close, this is one of those exhibitions that’s well worth making time for.

The good thing for families is that kids under 11yrs have free entry. Tip - buy the timed tickets (set time) instead of the flexible ones to save $10 per ticket. 😉

If you’re taking the kids, be sure to stop by The Studio – AGSA’s FREE, light-filled creative space where you can step inside an artwork, experiment with light and colour, and create your own masterpiece to take home. It’s a wonderful hands-on experience that adds another layer of fun to your gallery visit.
