For a strictly limited time, The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child will be shown at Marion’s Event Cinemas as a double feature special.  This loveable monster and his adventures will be brought to life on the big screen starting on Saturday, November 30.  All tickets are $7.00 each (plus $1.10 for online bookings).

The Gruffalo

Based on the best selling children s picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, The Gruffalo becomes a magical animated film featuring the all-star voice talents of Helena Bonham Carter, Rob Brydon, Robbie Coltrane, James Cordon, John Hurt and Tom Wilkinson.  This is the enchanting story of Mouse and his search for a nut.  A search that is complicated by three hungry animals who think that he may make a nice meal!  To protect himself Mouse, very cleverly, invents an imaginary monster to scare them away. But it comes as quite a surprise when he actually comes face to face with his very own creation The Gruffalo, who is very big, very hungry and who considers mice his favourite food!

Gruffalo’s Child

In this sequel to The Gruffalo, set some time after the events in the first story, the Gruffalo now has a little daughter. After hearing her father’s fantastic stories about the Big Bad Mouse in the deep, dark wood, her curiosity gets the better of her and she sets out one snowy night on a thrilling journey of discovery.
